Story

This hoodie is not just clothing; it’s a way to tell a story about life, loss, and the memories that stay with us. It reflects the balance between the beauty and reality of life in an artistic way that anyone can relate to.

Front:

The design on the front of this hoodie is a simple yet deep expression of art and emotion. At the top, a cut-piece panel is stitched into the fabric, symbolizing how broken parts of life can be joined together to create meaning. Inside this panel is a photograph of a dry, withered tree by Muhammad Baloch, standing still as time passes. Birds fly above it, the wind moves through its bare branches, and its visible roots show the tree’s connection to the ground. This tree reflects sadness and the passing of time. Above it are the words, “Wo loug kiya howe jo teri daasta’n kay thy,” reminding us of the people who are no longer part of our stories. Below this, the official “Vshey” logo is placed, with a sketch of a person sitting and holding a flower above it. This represents the beauty of human connections and how fragile they can be. Near the bottom of the hoodie, there is a verse: “Kitni dilkash ho tum, kitna dil jo hoon main, kya sitam hai kay hum loug mar jayenge.” These lines express the reality of life, that no matter how beautiful or precious something is, everything has to come to an end.

Back:

The back of this hoodie is a poetic reflection of Jaun Elia’s era, layered with elements that narrate his journey and emotions. At the top, an old building stands tall, representing the passage of time and the world Jaun lived in, serving as a metaphor for the fading traces of history. Below this, Jaun’s verse “Kaun is ghar ki dekh bhal kare, roz aik cheez toot jaati hai” captures the fragility of life and relationships, paired with another line “Mustaqil bolta hi rehta hoon, kitna khamosh hoon main andar se,” symbolizing his unspoken inner turmoil.

The centerpiece is an open courtyard where Jaun is seated with his close friend Saleem Jafri on his right and three individuals representing Amroha, Dubai, and Karachi. This imagery reflects Jaun’s own words about being “born three times”—in Amroha, where he was physically born; in Karachi, where his creativity evolved; and in Dubai, where he found resurgence through the support of his admirers and Saleem Jafri, who helped him publish his work during his darkest days.

A bookshelf filled with his books adds depth, while a woman sits nearby, embodying the timeless allure of his audience.  Above Jaun, three frames adorn the wall, one inscribed with “Mushaira Jaun Elia” and two featuring Muhammad Baloch’s architectural photographs evoking a serene and reflective courtyard ambiance.

The finishing touch is a golden hour light softly illuminating the scene, symbolizing the bittersweet beauty of a setting sun, capturing a moment frozen in time and emotion. This hoodie is not just an article of clothing; it is a wearable ode to Jaun Elia’s life, his struggles, and his unparalleled legacy.

Sleeves:

The first sleeve of this hoodie is inspired by Muhammad Baloch’s sunflower photograph, set against a scene that feels like a memory frozen in time. It shows a quiet jungle with an empty road, an old bicycle resting silently, and a weathered house that speaks of the past. Above, soft sunlight breaks through the clouds, creating a peaceful yet lonely mood. Jaun Elia’s words, “Deewar ke siwa na raha kuch dilon ke beech,” are written above, highlighting how the walls we build in our hearts separate us, leaving behind a silent and empty world.

The second sleeve has a stitched printed patch, designed with a mix of soft brown khaddar texture and an off-white background. On this patch is written Jaun Elia’s thoughtful question, “Kya tumko is haal mein bhi main duniya ka lagta hoon?” The question invites reflection, asking if, even in a broken state, one can still feel connected to the world. The patch’s raw texture and simple design add a natural and grounded feel to the hoodie.

This hoodie combines art, poetry, and design to tell a story of longing, reflection, and the emotions we often keep hidden. It’s more than clothing, it’s a canvas for thoughts and feelings.
