Front
On the front of the hoodie, a cut panel frames the word VSHEY beside a broken watch, symbolising a frozen moment of sadness and reflection. Below the panel, a subtle hand-threaded detail extends only at the bottom, as if the emotion itself is unfinished and quietly lingering. Underneath, a raw laser-cut patch sits slightly crooked, emphasising how sadness is never perfect and always a little torn. Across both the patch and the hoodie, a single artwork continues featuring a photograph taken during one of the heaviest nights of life, where a man slept on the roadside with his two small daughters. Behind them rises the Merewether Clock Tower of Karachi, representing the restless city and hidden stories. Together, these elements turn the front into a preserved memory of a moment that hurt yet shaped the soul.
Sleeve.
Right Sleeve:
On the right sleeve, inside the cut panel, the line “Pareshan sab hain kuch sach mein kuch sach se” is puff screen printed, highlighting the emotional theme of confusion, partial truths, and personal unrest. Hand-threaded details extend subtly outward from the panel, creating a sense of movement and incompleteness, echoing the uneven and unpredictable nature of sadness.
Left Sleeve:
On the left sleeve, a village-inspired sketch comes to life with small trees and simple buildings. Facing this sketch is a photograph titled “Life”, where two boys walk laughing while a little girl sits crying on the road. This composition captures the duality of existence, showing that life laughs on one side and cries on the other, turning the sleeve into a visual story of contrasting emotions and fleeting moments.
Back
On the back, the line “Zindagi khowab kyun dikhati hai” is written in bold puff print with a piece of fabric draped over it, representing fragile and fleeting moments of sadness. Beyond the words, the surface features cracked textures and scattered flying papers, two of which carry the words “Zindagi” and “Khowab”. This design, inspired by Jaun Elia’s line, expresses the bittersweet reality of fleeting joys and persistent longing. The cracked surfaces and flying papers enhance the feeling of impermanence and melancholy, turning the back into a visual reflection of emotional depth and introspection.
